The June 2 gather was dubbed Weeniepaloozer in honor of twitter legend Rep. Anthony Weiner.

Big Gay Bob's Garage

Awesome solution to the identity issue.  The band insists on being called Will and Big D. ... ok.  But the crowd overwhelmingly desired something a little more descriptive of the true nature of this event.  So the band can have its own name but they have no control over the name of the venue, which is now known as Gay Bob's Garage, or the more enthusiastic Big Gay Bob's Garage. The weekly event is now known as Big Gay Bob's Garage featuring Will and Big D.

Any groupies have pics dated May 26? Until we can get some pics of this show, I'll just post a pic Bob took.  If you know where this came from, you'll fit in just right at BGBG's.

the band formerly known as the Soggy Diaper Boys

Well, Big D threw a fit about the name of the band after having thought about it a few nights. He said he felt like it diminished his manhood. Jeff had even come up with the perfect name for their first album and title track.... Time for a Change, and Ain't Takin No Shit.

I gotta tell ya, the May 19 show was a low point for the groupies.  Not because of a lack of good beer (the no BMC rule is being observed by all except the most unenlightened of the group... and of course there's always good homebrew)... and not for lack of good music... wow, these guys get better every week .. or for lack of groupies - this was one of the most well attended get togethers so far.  No, the low point is simply the result of a lack of identity. It felt like having a rug yanked out from under us. Thanks alot Darren. but we set to work coming up with a new identity, and by the end of the night, we settled something awesome... a new banner under which to proudly gather... more on that later.

The Soggy Diaper Boys Fan Club

The May 12 show was bursting with enthusiasm as word spread of the new band name.  A blog was created as a tribute.  Also, a no BMC rule was established.

Soggy Diaper Boys Sunday Show

Everyone had so much fun on Thursday night, the guys couldn't wait to play again. And since Big D was going on his North Alabama fishing tour the next week, the newly named Soggy Diaper Boys moved their show up to Sunday, just 3 days after the last one.  I can't remember what happened at this one, except that there was plenty of good beer and the name Soggy Diaper Boys stuck... for a while anyway.

Strings and Suds II

This week's gathering was called Strings and Suds II for lack of a better title. But as you'll see, that is gonna change pretty quick.  There were females at this one, so it wasn't a total sausage fest.  This is the one were audience members began to refer to themselves as groupies.  This is the only pic I've got. If any other groupies have any, send 'em on.

April 21, 2011.  Bob's garage.  The first of many to come. I missed this one and will always regret it.  But I do have the invitation, and that's more than some of you losers have.

Hey,

We were talking last night about starting a weekly beer tasting and live music thang at my house.  When I say we it was really D and my cousin Will; yep our musicians.

So we are going to kick it off tonight.  Price of admission?  One six pack of good beer.
